Helping children with autism discover their abilities
Autism School International is a boarding school in Juja, Kiambu County, for learners aged 5 to 15 with autism and other learning disabilities. Through individualised education and a multidisciplinary team, we partner with families to nurture every learner’s potential and celebrate every milestone.

Every milestone is a celebration
No two children learn in the same way. We meet each learner where they are and walk with them, one step at a time, towards a life of dignity and independence.
- Getting to know your childWe meet the family, read earlier reports and learn each child’s strengths, abilities and needs.
- A plan for every learnerEach learner has an individual education plan and learns through our stage-based curriculum and the CBC.
- Therapy alongside classesSpeech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and behaviour therapy are part of the school day.
- Life skills for every dayLearners practise self-care, routines and practical skills, with vocational training as they grow.
- Towards independenceEight graduates have already received seed capital to start their own small businesses.
What we offer
Classes, therapies and care under one roof, delivered by special needs teachers, therapists and caregivers who know each child well.
Learning that fits the child
A stage-based curriculum for learners with special needs, an individual education plan for every learner, the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and preparation for KILEA assessments.
Therapies
Speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and behaviour therapy (ABA), plus counselling for parents and caregivers.
Life beyond the classroom
Safe, structured boarding care, sports, music, art and chess, and life skills and vocational training that prepare learners for the future.
Help us welcome the children who are waiting
Our school is full, and about 300 children have been assessed and are waiting for a place. We have secured five acres of land and are raising KSh 75 million (about US$580,000) to build the facilities we need to take more learners and to introduce vocational training.
